Low Calorie Strawberry Mousse



Ingredients
  1. Fresh Strawberries – 1 cup
  2. Castor Sugar – 2 to 3 tbsp
  3. Water – 1 tbsp
  4. Egg White – of 1 Egg
  5. Gelatin – 1.5 tbsp
  6. Boiling Water – 1 tbsp
  7. Low Fat Yogurt – 1 cup
  8. Freshly cut strawberry slices for Garnish

Preparation
  1. Cut the strawberries into 2 halves.
  2. Add castor sugar and some water.
  3. Cook for 2 minutes on a low flame until the fruit turns soft.
  4. Take the strawberries out and blend them into a nice paste and keep aside.
  5. Beat the egg white until it becomes thick.
  6. Add 1 tbsp of castor sugar to this and beat until it becomes fluffy and keep aside.
  7. Add 2 tbsp of boiling water to the Gelatin and mix well until it dissolves.
  8. Now transfer the Strawberry puree into a big bowl.
  9. Sieve and add the Gelatin to this puree and mix well.
  10. Now add the low fat yogurt to this and mix well.
  11. Add the fluffy egg white into this mixture and gently fold it so that it is all well incorporated.
  12. Once the mixture is ready, transfer the content to serving bowls/glasses.
  13. Cover the bowls with cling wrap and refrigerate it for almost 2 hours or more. Overnight is better.
  14. Strawberry Mousse is ready to be served. Top it up with some cream and freshly cut strawberries….

TIP - You could also use Whipping cream if you like instead of yogurt.
