Methi Aloo


Ingredients

  1. Boiled and mashed Potato - 1 or 2
  2. Methi leaves (without stem) - 1 cup
  3. Oil - 2 tbsp
  4. Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  6. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Salt - to taste
Preparation:
  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add the jeera and wait until it splutters.
  3. Now add the methi leaves and fry for 2 mins.
  4. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and little salt and mix well. NOTE: Add salt while cooking the potatoes.
  5. Add few drops of water and cook the leaves for 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Now add the mashed potato to this and mix well.
  7. Server hot with chapatti.
