Yummy Palak Pakoda


Ingredients:

  1. Palak leaves - 1 cup
  2. Maida - 1 cup
  3. Rice flour - 1/2 cup
  4. Green Chilli paste - 3 nos.
  5. Ajwain - 1 tbsp
  6. Crushed coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
  7. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  8. Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
  9. Salt - to taste
  10. Oil - 2 tbsp
  11. Water - for the batter
  12. Oil fro frying

Preparation:
  1. Take a bowl. Add maida, rice flour, salt and mix well.
  2. Add turmeric powder, asafoetida, ajwain, crushed coriander leaves, green chilli paste and mix well.
  3. Add oil and mix the entire mixture well.
  4. Add water in small quantities and make a thick dough to avoid any lumps.
  5. Add some more water and slightly loosen the dough.
  6. Now add chopped palak leaves to this batter and mix well.
  7. Heat oil in a pan.
  8. Drop the palak mixture into the oil in small quantities (spread evenly in the oil).
  9. Fry the pakoda on both sides until done.
  10. Serve hot with tea.
