Ingredients:
- Palak leaves - 1 cup
- Maida - 1 cup
- Rice flour - 1/2 cup
- Green Chilli paste - 3 nos.
- Ajwain - 1 tbsp
- Crushed coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Water - for the batter
- Oil fro frying
Preparation:
- Take a bowl. Add maida, rice flour, salt and mix well.
- Add turmeric powder, asafoetida, ajwain, crushed coriander leaves, green chilli paste and mix well.
- Add oil and mix the entire mixture well.
- Add water in small quantities and make a thick dough to avoid any lumps.
- Add some more water and slightly loosen the dough.
- Now add chopped palak leaves to this batter and mix well.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Drop the palak mixture into the oil in small quantities (spread evenly in the oil).
- Fry the pakoda on both sides until done.
- Serve hot with tea.
