Fish Egg Fry - Kerala Style



Ingredients:
  1. Fish Egg (of any fish) - 1/2 cup
  2. Sliced Onion - 1 medium sized
  3. Chopped Green Chillies - 3 nos.
  4. Curry leaves - 2 sticks
  5. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt - to taste
  7. Fennel seeds powder - 1/2 tbsp
  8. Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
For Garnish:
  1. Coconut Oil - 2 tbsp
  2. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  3. Curry leaves 

 Preparation:
  1. Clean and wash the fish egg. Sardine fish egg has been used in this recipe.
  2. Add the ingredients 2 to 8 to this and mash well, until the eggs are also mashed well.
  3. Heat a pan and add oil to it.
  4. Add some mustard seeds and wait for it to splutter. Add curry leaves as well.
  5. Now add the fish egg mixture to it and mix well.
  6. Add little water and cover with a lid and cook on a medium flame.
  7. Once done, remove the lid and fry it until done (just like normal egg burji).
  8. Remove from flame and serve with rice.
