Restaurant Chef Pillai serves authentic kerala cuisine. They have a wide variety of starters, main course and desserts. One of the most popular dishes of Chef Pillai is his signature dish - The Fish Nirvana, which is nothing but pan fried fish poached in coconut milk. Fish Nirvana is so rich, creamy and flavourful. It is a must try!!!

The dishes that we tried:
Starter - Spicy Pepper Chicken
Main Course - Fish Nirvana with Appam and Nool Parotha
Main Course - Nikkah Biryani
Spicy Pepper Chicken - a chicken starter which was spicy and loaded with flavours; had lot of black pepper i it.
Fish Nirvana - we tried Seer Fish version. They also serve Fish Nirvana made from Pomfret and Pearlspot in it. For the vegeterians, they have Paneer Nirvana. Kerala Style appams are the best combination for Fish Nirvana. We did also try their Nool Parotta, which was very soft and tasty.
Nikkah Biryani - the flavour is similar to Thalassery style chicken dum biryani. The biryani is wrapped in banana leaf and steamed. It is served along with raita, dates pickle and coconut chutney.
They do have a wide variety of desserts like tender coconut pudding, palada cheesecake etc.
But since we were full, we could not try them!! But there is a always a next time :-;
