Homemade Kadai Paneer Video Recipe | Indian Cottage Cheese Recipe


Todays’ recipe is Kadhai Paneer. It is a very simple dish that you can prepare very quickly and it goes very well with roti, naan, kulcha and even rice.

Ingredients:
Paneer – ½ cup
Green Capsicum – ½ cup
Coriander Seeds – 1 tbsp
Dry Red Chillies – 3 to 4
Oil – 3 to 4 tbsp
Cloves – 3 to 4
Cinnamon – 1 inch stick
Bay leaf – 2
Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Sliced Onion – 1 cup
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp
Kasuri Methi – 1 tsp
Sliced Tomatoes – ½ cup
Chopped Coriander Leaves – ¼ cup
Salt – to taste

Preparation:
Heat a pan. Add Coriander Seeds and Dry Red Chillies to it and roast on a medium flame until you get a nice aroma. Add this to a mixer jar and powder it coarsely. Set it aside.
Heat oil in the same pan. Add the coarsely powdered Coriander Seeds and Dry Red Chilli to the oil and fry until a nice aroma comes out.
Add the whole spices and bay leaf and saute it.
Now add the ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell is gone.
Add in sliced onion and saute on a medium flame. Add some salt at this stage, so that the onions get cooked easily.
Once the onions turn slightly brown, add turmeric powder and saute well.
Add red chilli powder and kasuri methi and saute again.
Add the sliced capsicum and mix well.
Add the tomatoes and mix again.
Add little water, mix it, and cover and cook for couple of minutes until the capsicum turns slightly soft and the tomatoes get cooked.
Add the Paneer slices now and mix until the paneer gets coated evenly with the masala. Cook for couple of minutes more.
Finally Garnish with some fresh coriander leaves.
Your Kadhai Paneer is ready to be served!!!
