Ingredients:
- Whole Dates – 8
- Maida – ½ cup
- Sugar – 3 to 4 tsp
- Water – to make the batter
- Whole Cashewnuts – 8
- Oil – for frying
Preparation:
- Slit the dates and remove the seeds from within.
- Insert one cashew each inside each of the dates.
- Make a batter with maida, sugar and water. The consistency should be thick and not watery.
- Heat oil in a pan. Once hot, dip each of the dates in the batter and fry on a medium flame until golden brown.
- Serve as a snack along with tea.
