Dates Fritters


Ingredients:
  1. Whole Dates – 8
  2. Maida – ½ cup
  3. Sugar – 3 to 4 tsp
  4. Water – to make the batter
  5. Whole Cashewnuts – 8
  6. Oil – for frying


Preparation:
  1. Slit the dates and remove the seeds from within.
  2. Insert one cashew each inside each of the dates.
  3. Make a batter with maida, sugar and water. The consistency should be thick and not watery.
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Once hot, dip each of the dates in the batter and fry on a medium flame until golden brown.
  5. Serve as a snack along with tea.
