Jackfruit Fritters / Chakka Pori...


Ingredients:

  1. Ripe jackfruit bulbs - 5 to 6
  2. Maida - 1/2 cup
  3. Sugar - 2 tbsp
  4. Salt - 1 pinch
  5. Oil for frying
  6. Yellow colour - 1 pinch (optional)
  7. Water - to prepare the batter
Preparation:
  1. Remove the seeds from the jackfruit bulbs.
  2. Take a bowl. Add maida, sugar, salt, colour and water and make into a smooth batter. It should be thick enough to coat the jackfruit bulbs.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. When the oil turns hot, dip each of the jackfruit bulb in the batter and put it in the oil.
  4. Fry on a medium flame on both sides until you start noticing golden colour around the bulbs.
  5. Server hot with tea.
