Ingredients
- White Pomfret - Cleaned and Washed - 2
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Fennel powder - 1/2 tsp
- Black Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
- Oil - for frying
Preparation
- Cut long slits on both sides of the fish.
- Take a bowl. Add all the above ingredients from 2 to 7 and mix well.
- Add little water to this and make a thick paste.
- Marinate the fish with this paste and set aside for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan. Once hot, fry the pomfret on a medium flame on both the sides until it is done.
- You can add some curry leaves and fry towards the end for extra flavour
- Remove the fish from oil and transfer to a paper towel so that excess oil gets absorbed.
- Serve with hot rice.
