Ingredients:
- Ripe jackfruit bulbs - 5 to 6
- Maida - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Salt - 1 pinch
- Oil for frying
- Yellow colour - 1 pinch (optional)
- Water - to prepare the batter
Preparation:
- Remove the seeds from the jackfruit bulbs.
- Take a bowl. Add maida, sugar, salt, colour and water and make into a smooth batter. It should be thick enough to coat the jackfruit bulbs.
- Heat oil in a pan. When the oil turns hot, dip each of the jackfruit bulb in the batter and put it in the oil.
- Fry on a medium flame on both sides until you start noticing golden colour around the bulbs.
- Server hot with tea.
