Ingredients:
- Chopped Palak - 1 cup
- Green gram - 1/2 cup
- Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Garlic cloves - 3 to 4 nos.
- Jeera powder - 1 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Preparation:
- Soak green gram in water for 30 mins.
- Pressure cook green gram along with salt and water and cook until 2 to 3 whistles.
- Take a frying pan. Add oil and mustard seeds and wait until it splutters.
- Add chopped palak to it.
- Add grated coconut, turmeric powder, chilli powder, crushed garlic, jeera powder and little salt (palak already has some salt content, hence add little salt)
- Mix well and cook the palak until done. Do not cover and cook.
- Now add the cooked green gram to this and mix well.
- Serve hot with roti or chappatti.
