Ingredients:
- Roasted Semolina/Rava - 1 cup
- Chopped Ginger - 1 tbsp
- Chopped Green Chillies - 2 to 3 nos.
- Curry leaves - 2 sticks
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Water - to cook the semolina
- Mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a kadhai.
- Add mustard and wait till it splutters.
- Add chopped ginger and fry lightly, till the aroma comes out.
- Add the curry leaves.
- Add the chopped onion and green chilli and saute.
- Add salt and saute until the onion becomes soft. Fry lightly.
- Add the turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add enough water to cook the semolina and bring it to boil.
- Once the water starts boiling, add the semolina to it and mix well.
- Cover with lid and simmer for another 2 mins.
- Serve hot once done.
Tip:
we can also add vegetables like chopped beans, carrot, green peas while sauting the onion. Also add chopped coriander leaves for the garnish.
